Boston & District Canine Society Open Show 2014 Critique

Thank you for an enjoyable appointment. It was a lovely day with a great atmosphere, and brilliant stewards. I appreciated this quality entry, with a strong variety of entries. Thankfully we were able to make most of the excellent ring space where dogs could be judged correctly.
JD (3) 1 & BPIB Girling’s Pyefleet Timothy, A lovely puppy with very pleasing outline. Good length with a sweet but masculine head. Correct dark eye with soft expression. Good drive from rear and correct front movement. Shoulders well laid back.

  1. Girling's Pyefleet Tarka, Litter brother to first dog but with a lot darker coat. Much the same qualities as his litter brother, however front movement was the main difference for me.
  2. Shannon's Erewhon Celestial Fire

OD (1)  1. & B Opp Sex Stuart & Holt's Regalflight Tomahawk at Ollandsheart. A strong dog with a pleasant outline.Strong neck into well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest leading into strong loin. Strong rear movement. A bit flat footed for me however which gave the edge to the Bitch for BOB.
JB (2,1) Shannon's Erewhon Wanton Flame – A feminine bitch with a pretty head. Dark complexion.Strong forechest and well laid shoulders into lengthy body.
PGB (1) Spring-Arnold's Gentiehun Alice Springs – A very fine bitch with balanced outline. Neat bitch with good front. Correct head with friendly expression. Lovely neat feet.
OB (3,1) 1 & BOB Stuart & Holt's Pyefleet Skatha at Ollandsheart – This was my BOB the moment I had set eyes on her. Very pleasing outline. Pretty head with lovely expression.Strong neck in well boned and proportionate body. Good forechest and strong rear movement.Very true side profile.
 2. Spring-Arnold's NLCH Jacobite Rosanne to Gentiehun (Imp Aus)–Good overall balance from this mature bitch. Simple unfussy movement from a strong rear. Feminine head and body with intriguing dark features. Very neat feet.
